I have tutored many students privately in SAT prep and in math levels ranging from 3rd grade to calculus. I have also tutored for the Academic Resource Center at the University of Miami in subjects such as music theory, intro to programming and various math classes.

I also did some peer tutoring in high school with NHS and I have worked four summers teaching kids skateboarding and biking at a town-run summer camp.
I enjoy tutoring because it's rewarding to help people understand concepts just by approaching concepts and problems from different angles than their teacher did. Often, teachers just can't connect with every kid in a class, though the student may be totally capable of understanding and applying the material.
With math I like to focus on making sure someone can actually visualize or understand what they're doing in terms of real life applications or graphs rather than memorizing formulas blindly.
Hobbiesmusic, guitar, audio recording and mixing, filming and editing video, skateboarding, and designing audio electronics. I enjoy creative projects

Max has been on time every time. He has established a very good rapport with my 15 year old (!!!) son which results in my son doing the homework and not dreading the sessions. My son seems relieved to be understanding the Algebra II concepts that he missed during the past term. He also seems way more confident and in a much better mood as if solving this issue for school was weighing him down before. In addition Max is very pleasant, very polite so his presence is welcomed by the rest of the family. Thanks!!!
