Experience
I am extremely flexible as a tutor and can adjust to all types of students at a quick pace. My extensive experience in working with students allows me to adjust pretty quickly. What I find most important is for students to develop strong work habits that work for them, so that one day they are able to tackle new course work on their own. I work with each student to find out what their strengths/weaknesses are as a student and go from there. I can guide students through most classes. If a student needs specific help in a subject, I can assess what the needs are and keep the student on track. I generally like to help students in a holistic manner and thrive as a tutor when I am able to oversee their coursework on a weekly basis. Experience: I have tutored privately for almost a decade now. I am experienced in teaching students at all levels. I have helped students who needed help catching up to students who wanted to just build foundational skills for their next grade level. Many of the high school students who I have worked with have gone on to prestigious colleges around the nation: UCLA, UCSD, USC, UCLA, George Washington University, to name a few. Statistics: SAT 2250 Subject Tests: Spanish 800, Korean 770 , US History 780 How I am able to tutor a wide range of subjects: Receiving a B.S in anthropology meant that I took both humanity and science courses. I am comfortable tutoring all subjects since I have experience tackling all types of reading, writing, and quantitative/science classes.

Hobbies
I am easy-going and independent. As a tutor, I am very professional but also caring. I am the oldest child in my family and therefore developed a very maternal side. I think it is easy to get a feel for someone when you know what kind of TV shows, movies or books they enjoy. One of my favorite TV shows is Friends, and to give you a better perspective of my personality--I am a mix of Monica, Phoebe, and Ross. My favorite book of all time is Martin Eden by Jack London. The most recent book I have read is A Place for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. I enjoy serious books but watch very light-hearted television. I enjoy drinking coffee and finding new coffee spots. In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends or family. I also really enjoy DIY projects, and am often carrying out mini-projects around my home.
