I'm a graduate of Claremont Graduate University with an MA in social psychology and I'm currently working toward my PhD. in clinical psychology. I'm also a Vassar College alumnus.
Experience
I have about five years of tutoring experience with students from Jr. High to graduate school. SAT test score: 1170 GRE test score: 1060 I tutor because I'm very good at making difficult information seem very clear and simple and I love helping others learn. I also like encouraging students to accept and enjoy math and understand its many benefits. I have completed many math, English, and psychology courses in high school, college and graduate school which have provided me with the background necessary to be an effective tutor and teacher of the subjects. I've worked for several years with children, adolescents, and adults from many backgrounds and in numerous settings which has given me the skills and confidence needed to work with many types of students. I'm very enthusiastic and excited about helping stduents learn and it shows in my instruction. I'm very accommodating and easy to work with and enjoy making the learning experience both positive and rewarding!
