I am a professional Hollywood Actor who offers in depth coaching on how to break into Hollywood. I help students mainly high school age and above to define their type for casting, how and where to create marketing tools, how to generate work and much more! As a Speech Coach I have coached high school and college aged students in all aspects of competitive public speaking. Curriculum includes material selection and cuttings, developing characters, overcoming speaking difficulties, navigating local, regional and state tournaments, integrating judges feedback to enhance their performance, and finally polishing performances to showcase on the National Tournament Level! - I am proficient! And you will be, too! I enjoy the creative aspect of visually defining an English language word for an ESL Student. I believe it makes the learning more engaged and fun! Allowing the student to feel at home in a new country is also important to me. Learning a new language is a challenge - feeling welcomed while learning a new language should not also be a challenge. With encouragement and patience I create a learning environment where students feel safe enough to expand their language boundaries to know more and be more! Analyzing literature for themes, plots, and character arch are my forte. I have an acute understanding of basic human behavior which is central to good storytelling and good literature. I make use of that skill and my imagination to relate to the student varied ways to analyze literature. The end result will be the student having ownership of their own set of tools to then make up their own mind about a piece of literature and what it is speaks to them. Proofreading is part of my perfectionism. Having a critical eye for detail is important. I have a specific back ground in Communications which allows me to review written material and identify where it can be adjusted or improved. During my work as a speech coach I have been charged with proofing written public address speeches to identify weak arguments, grammar errors and language use to form a cohesive narrative and ultimately proving a strong argument. Public Speaking is my most well-honed skill. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Speech Communication from Bradley University. I have coached high school speech students at the Bradley University Summer Forensic Institute. In addition I have coached at Limestone High School, Downers Grove South High School, College of DuPage, and currently coach Bradley Forensic Team members in Public Address and Interpretation of Literature events. Results have included several students winning local, regional, state and national Championships in their respective events. Be ready to work. Be ready to win. I have personally won over 100 speech awards including 8 national titles! My awards included National titles in Poetry Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Informative Speaking, Communication Analysis, and Duet Interpretation. I believe you can succeed!
