Whether it's improving a grade in a course, improving test scores, or gaining admission to the college of their choice, I'm driven to help students get there. I have seven years of experience as a tutor and teacher, and I take pride in my ability to help students build proficiency in history, English, and testing. I believe my friendly demeanor and professional approach are conducive to effective learning, and I'm comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds considering my time living in both Africa and Europe. I can tutor students in reading, writing, essays, literature, English grammar, European history, creative writing, art history, world history, adult literacy, ESL, and others, and I can help students prepare for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and similar standardized exams. I like to make my sessions fun and interesting to keep students engaged and productive. When I have some spare time, I like to volunteer, travel, read, and go on hikes.
